FORMER Alinta Ltd managing director Bob Browning has accepted a United States-based role with shipbuilder Austal, while continuing to work with Macquarie Bank on the MBO bid during the next four months. Austal announced last Thursday it had appointed Mr Browning as chief executive of its US operation, which over the next few years is expected to become much larger than its Australian business.
