HAVING recently won a number of international awards for a local radio advertising campaign, The Brand Agency is optimistic of a good showing at the world’s most prestigious advertising awards ceremony in Cannes, France, next month. Last week, the Perth Zoo’s ‘Find Your Animal’ campaign won at two award shows in the US. The Brand Agency’s strategic planning director, Paul Yole, said these were among four internationally recognised awards shows. “That’s Cannes, then we have D&AD in London, a big British show, then in America there’s Clio and One Show,” Mr Yole told WA Business News. “It [the campaign] got a merit award at One Show, and bronze at Clio. “And we got into the book of D&AD, which is good.” The campaign also won the ‘silver siren’ for the best radio campaign nationally at a ceremony in Sydney last Friday. And a few months ago it also won four bronze awards at the Australian national awards, the AWARD Awards. “I’m always very happy to win because it helps us as an agency, and helps the industry in Perth to help attract good creative talent,” Mr Yole said. He acknowledged writers, Kurt Beaudoin, who has since joined competing agency Meerkats, and Josh Edge for their winning work
