Bob Carroll fills Alan Burns chair at Hardman Resources

West Perth based exploration and investment company Hardman Resources Ltd has appointed Bob Carroll as its new chairman, succeeding Alan Burns, who will step down from the role on July 3.

Mr Carroll has been a director of the company since December 2003, and was chief financial officer of Woodside Petroleum Ltd from January 1997 to mid-2002.

Hardman Resources Limited ("Company") is pleased to announce that Mr RA (Bob) Carroll has been appointed as its new Chairman to succeed the founding Chairman of the Company, Mr Alan Burns, who has retired and will cease to be the Chairman and a Director of the Company with effect from 3 July 2006.

Mr Carroll is a graduate in Economics from the University of Sydney and a qualified accountant with over 30 years' experience in the resources industry including 21 years as a senior finance executive with Woodside Petroleum Ltd where he was Chief Financial Officer from January 1997 to mid-2002.

Mr Carroll has been a Director of the Company since December 2003.

The outgoing Chairman, Alan Burns, commented: "The Company is fortunate to have such an experienced oil and gas person as Bob Carroll to lead its Board in its development as a significant E & P company."

The Company's new Chairman, Mr Bob Carroll, said: "On behalf of the Company, its shareholders and employees I express our gratitude to Alan for his vision and leadership of the Company since its incorporation in 1986. We respect Alan's decision to retire at this time which he foreshadowed at the recent AGM held in May. We wish him well in his retirement and future endeavours."
