The heat is on at Araluen

THE award-winning Perth Chilli Festival will be held at Araluen Botanic Park this weekend, March 7-8.

This year's festival offers visitors even more unique chilli experiences, with a diverse range of chilli plants, foods, beverages, tastings, products and information.

There will be more than 60 chilli plant varieties on display and non-stop entertainment all weekend

The weekend will feature cooking demonstrations with celebrity chef, Dale Sniffen, interspersed with taste tests and other novelty segments.

And if you like your chilli toned down a bit, most stallholders also offer non-chilli or 'mild' products. For those seeking refuge from what promises to be a hot weekend, the air-conditioned Chalet Healy Tearooms offers a 'chilli-free zone'.

Entry prices are adults $12, child $6, family pass $30 (includes two adults and up to six children).
