Beacon Minerals announced on Thursday its December 2023 quarter production was sightly down, citing multiple factors.
The Goldfields exploration company told the market production at its Coolgardie-based Jaurdi gold project throughout the quarter was affected by a planned shutdown for its sag mill reline, and high viscosities detected within panel three clay ore.
Beacon produced 6,708 ounces of gold at Juardi throughout the December quarter, down from 7,157oz in the September 2023 quarter.
Ore milled and mined amounts were also down, however, the average price of gold rose during the quarter from $2,924/oz to $3,039/oz.
Beacon last traded at 2.5 cents per share, down 3.85 per cent, as of 12.02pm.
