Australia’s first textile, clothing and footwear resource centre has opened in WA.
The centre has begun to compile a directory of the WA industry, detailing local businesses producing everything from clothing to surf wear, handbags, carpets, rope, sails and mattresses.
The list currently has 400 names and this is expected to double once awareness increases.
A joint venture between the Belmont Business Enterprise Centre and the Department of Commerce and Trade, the centre will assist businesses of all sizes with the design, manufacture and marketing of products.
