Aussie Home Loans has opened its first franchised retail shop in Perth, continuing the trend for non-bank lenders and mortgage brokers to expand in the WA market.

The opening continues the expansion of Aussie's national retail presence and follows similar openings in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

The retail shop, located on Abernethy Road in Belmont, offers home finance advisory services.

Aussie Home Loans follows a long line of other firms including Resi Mortgage Corporation, Mortgage Choice, Wizard, RAMS and The Loans Café in establishing or expanding their branch network in WA.

Owners of the franchise outlet include Surinder Agnihotri, John Kennebury and Tracy Arras who manage a staff of seven mortgage advisers.

Mr Agnihotri said "Our outlet enables first home buyers to quickly find out important information about their buying power, their eligibility for government grants and also gain pre-approval for loans before they begin the search for property."

In January, Resi announced it was planning to open up to six new franchise offices in WA in the next 12 months, adding to its existing franchise office in Joondalup, and had relocated its state head office to Hay Street, West Perth.
