COMPANY auditors are to get some extra online help to help them comply with some existing and new reporting obligations arising from the Corporate Law Economic Reform Program.
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission has set up a secure lodgement portal on its website that auditors can use to lodge the new Annual Statement (Form 912).
That form must be lodged by all registered company auditors from January 1.
An additional benefit of using the new portal is that the fees for lodging an annual statement online are considerably less than the cost of the equivalent paper lodgement.
In addition to form 912, auditors and authorised audit companies can also use the portal to change or update their details online.
Auditors and authorised audit companies can now apply for a username and password to access the auditor portal.
