Gold and lithium exploration company Aruma Resources’ founding leader Peter Schwann has stepped down after more than a decade in the role.

The managing director will be succeeded by Aruma’s chief financial officer Glenn Grayson.

Mr Schwann was the founding managing director of Aruma and led the company since it was listed on the stock market in 2010.

He will remain on the board as a non-executive director.

With more than 25 years’ experience in geology and exploration, Mr Grayson will take the reins of the company and its prospective exploration projects in the Eastern Goldfields and northern Western Australia.

Aruma Chairman James Moses said he wanted to congratulate Mr Grayson on his new role.

“We are delighted to appoint Glenn as the Company’s new managing director and look forward to working closely with him as Aruma embarks on the next phase of its growth and evolution,” he said.

“He has already demonstrated his technical acumen in his work on the company’s projects to date, and we look forward to seeing the company flourish under his leadership.

“Glenn takes over from the company’s founding managing director Peter Schwann, and I would like to thank Peter for the tireless commitment and energy he displayed throughout his tenure, and for his passion for the role.”

Aruma Resources shares were down 3.09 percent to trade at 9.4 cents at 1:25 pm AEDT.
