SUBMISSIONS have been called for on the development of a performing arts centre in Perth.
The Playhouse Theatre is scheduled to close by 2008 and the need for a new performing arts venue has been identified.
Arts Minister Sheila McHale said public consultation would play a role in determining the location, size, nature and functions of the new facility.
A project briefing will be conducted by the Department of Culture and the Arts at the Kings Street Arts Centre on September 10.
Submissions close on October 31.
