* Haydn Lowe, chief executive officer of the Aboriginal Affairs Department, has had his contract renewed for 12 months.
* Alastair Bryant has been officially appointed to the position of director general of the Ministry for Culture and the Arts. Mr Bryant has been acting in the position since January this year.
* SGIO Insurance has appointed Darryl Regan as direct sales manager in charge of the Telephone Business Centre. Mr Regan is a long standing employee of SGIO and has extensive experience in many areas of the organisation including sales and marketing.
The company has also appointed Alister Beck as personal sales manager.
