CCI board election
Oakajee Port & Rail chief executive John Langoulant (pictured) has been elected to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA board. He replaces the managing director of Alcoa Australia, Alan Cransberg, who will remain a member of CCI's peak policy making body, general council. Equip Health Systems chairman Peter Hood will continue as CCI board chair, while ANZ Bank chair John Atkins will continue as deputy chair of the CCI board.
Goodwin COO for Tox Free
Environmental management company Tox Free Solutions has appointed Peter Goodwin as chief operating officer. Mr Goodwin previously worked in a senior management role with Veolia Environmental Services.
New role for Binning
Sinclair Knight Merz has appointed Neville Binning to the newly created role of executive strategic consultant. Based in Perth, Dr Binning will lead the development of SKM's Strategic Consulting Service Line in WA and the Northern Territory. His recent experience includes working with Infrastructure Australia, the WA government departmentd of Treasury and Finance, State Development and Transport, and Stirling City Centre Alliance.
Lilly a senior associate
Johnson Winter & Slattery has appointed Richard Lilly as a senior associate based in the Perth office. Mr Lilly practices as a dispute resolution lawyer in the energy and resources sectors.
Rowe associate director
Knight Frank has appointed Craig Rowe as associate director in its industrial sales and leasing division. Mr Rowe previously worked for Colliers International in both their Perth and Melbourne branches.
Pitman consults at Churchill
Churchill Consulting has appointed Scott Pitman as senior consultant. Mr Pitman was previously executive manager marketing and strategic projects with the Plan B Group, and consulted with The Marketing Centre in Australia and Kingsford Consulting in Canada. He currently serves on the board of Goodcompany.
Brookfield in new HASSEL role
HASSELL has appointed Anthony Brookfield as senior associate to the landscape architecture team in WA. Mr Brookfield recently moved from London, having worked within a range of international design practices across Europe, US and Asia.
MGI appoints associate directors
Business advisory and accounting firm MGI Perth has appointed former Ord Nexia principals Grant Meyer, Timothy Blackburn and Daniel Cloghan to its team. They join MGI Perth as associate directors in business services.
Senior moves at Patersons
Patersons Securities has appointed Alex Passmore (top right)head of research. Mr Passmore joined Patersons in 2002 as a resources analyst and was appointed head of metals and mining in 2006. Simon Tonkin (top left) has been appointed senior resources analyst. Mr Tonkin joins Patersons from US-based Stifel Nicolaus, where he spent four years covering the uranium, base metals and gold sectors. Gary Watson has also recently joined the resources team as an associate analyst. Mr Watson spent five years in the Goldfields and Pilbara regions as an underground and open pit-mining surveyor.
