Days of Change

Climate change activist group Days of Change has appointed Terry Budge (pictured), George Gear and John Wood to its board of directors for the company's state-wide launch in 2010. Mr Budge (pictured) is Murdoch University's chancellor, while Mr Gear has represented Australia among international financial institutions. Mr Wood brings experience through his role as founder of National Lifestyle Villages.

New REIWA president

Alan Bourke (pictured) has taken over from Rob Druitt as the president of the Real Estate Institute of WA. Mr Bourke brings 30 years' experience in real estate and currently sits on five REIWA committees.

Lord mayor gets world role

Perth Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi has been elected president of the World Energy Cities Partnership for the next two years. WECP represents 15 of the world's leading cities that are closely linked to major energy and resource industries.

Burns bows out

The founder of Carnegie Wave Energy, chairman Alan Burns, has stepped down from his position, ending his Australian public company career. The Fremantle inventor designed the technology that Carnegie hopes to commercially develop and has been on boards in sectors ranging from resources, aquaculture, and tyre manufacturing.
