Allegre joins Neptune Marine

Vincent Allegre has been appointed as chief operating officer of Neptune Marine Services, a global subsea engineering solutions and service provider headquartered in Perth. Mr Allegre was most recently a vice-president at SNC Lavalin, and prior to that worked in Perth in a commercial role at Acergy and as project director at Saipem.

New deputy VC at Notre Dame

The University of Notre Dame has selected Shelda Debowski as its new deputy vice-chancellor and head of its Fremantle campus. Professor Debowski was most recently Winthrop professor (higher education development) and director, organisational and staff development services at the University of WA.

Branston moves up at Gresham

Chris Branston has been promoted to the role of division director at Gresham Advisory Partners. Mr Branston specialises in corporate mergers and acquisitions, and returned to Perth in 2010 after four years in the firm’s Sydney office.

Rowling chairs new cruise body

Edith Cowan University foundation professor of tourism Ross Dowling will chair the newly created Cruise WA Committee, the peak body representing and advocating for the development of WA’s cruise tourism interests. Professor Dowling is also chair of the Forum Advocating Cultural and Eco-Tourism.  

Rose to CBH

Grain handler CBH Group has appointed Courtney Rose as its new business relationship manager to service the Esperance region. Ms Rose was previously a grain merchant for the southern region of WA at GrainCorp.

Crean moves west

Law firm DLA Piper has appointed recently promoted special counsel Andrew Crean to its Perth corporate team. Formerly in the Melbourne branch, Mr Crean will work with the Perth finance and projects team to provide experience in connection with mining projects.

Fenelon joins Snowden

Mining technology consultancy Snowden has appointed Alan Fenelon as Perth-based divisional manager; sales and marketing for its technologies division. Mr Fenelon previously spent three years with aQuire and prior to that oversaw global business development for Micromine.

Hannington joins IMX

IMX Resources has appointed Michael Hannington as general manager, exploration and business development Africa. Mr Hannington was formerly managing director of TNT Mines and Alchemy Resources, and prior to that held senior management positions with North and Oxiana Resources.

French aids library management

DLA Piper partner Guy French has been appointed to the board of the State Library Foundation. Mr French currently practices in the area of general litigation and occupational health and safety and is the former chair of the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts.

New managers at Realmark

Leederville-based Realmark Real Estate Group has selected Michele Pendergrast and Luke Langford as property managers. Ms Pendergrast has joined the team at the company’s Scarborough office while Mr Langford has joined Realmark South’s Applecross office.
