Skipworth WA Agent General

Kevin Skipworth has been appointed to replace Kerry Sanderson as WA’s agent general in London, for a two-year term from March. Mr Skipworth was official secretary to the last five WA governors, and has held senior roles in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet. He has been charged with building WA’s links with African nations. 

Harrison joins AMEC

Engineering and project management consultancy AMEC has appointed Paul Harrison as managing director for oil and gas, ASEA (Australia and Southeast Asia) in its Perth office. Mr Harrison was formerly chief operating officer at Logicamms and has also worked for Marathon Oil, Occidental, Elf Petroleum and WorleyParsons in the UK, Southeast Asia and Australia.

MacRury back at WAMMCO

The Western Australian Meat Marketing Co-operative has brought Coll MacRury back to Perth as chief executive officer to replace Scott Weir, who held the job for six months. Mr MacRury had moved to NSW last year when he was made managing director at the former Southern Meats Goulburn abattoir, which was acquired by WAMMCO.

Kalaf heads Lifeline WA

Fiona Kalaf has been appointed as chief executive officer of suicide prevention services provider Lifeline WA, following the resignation of Amanda Wheeler, who is moving to Lifeline Australia in Canberra. Ms Kalaf is currently chair of the Art Gallery of WA, and a board member of the newly-formed Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority. She is a past recipient of the WA Business News 40under40 awards.

Murrell new GMA president

8M Media and Communications CEO Thomas Murrell (top) has been elected as president of the Graduate Management Association, the peak body representing alumni and postgraduate students at the UWA Business School. Mr Murrell replaces Ernst & Young senior consultant Paul McCann in the role. Ernst & Young Business Advisory Services senior consultant Tracy Deveugle-Fink has been elected vice-president.

Radcliffe joins Aurecon

Engineering and technical services provider Aurecon has appointed David Radcliffe as rail leader, resources & manufacturing based in Perth. Mr Radcliffe previously worked on the Rio Tinto heavy haul rail system expansion, Perth electrification, and the extension of the Perth network to Joondalup and Mandurah.

Siu promoted at A&O

Law firm Allen and Overy has promoted Jonathan Siu to senior associate. Mr Siu is a banking lawyer in the firm’s Perth office and specialises in asset finance, offshore oil and gas and shipping.

Coop to Integral

Management consultancy Integral Development has appointed Pete Coop as a consultant. Mr Coop’s main area of expertise is as a business solutions specialist.
