Another gong for Port Bouvard's Oceanique

Port Bouvard has been awarded the top prize in the high density development category by the Urban Development Institute of Australia, for its Oceanique development, near Mandurah.

The award will sit nicely alongside last year’s UDIA prize for best masterplanned development, which Port Bouvard won for its namesake development, also near Mandurah, chief executive Johnno Wroth said.

“Most developers aspire to be known for both land and built-form ability, but to receive the highest awards for both is a great accomplishment our team is very proud of,” Mr Wroth said.

The Oceanique development was completed by construction company DORIC in July 2010, and has also picked up accolades from the Master Builders Association and the Royal Australian Institute of Architects.

Mr Wroth said the project had recently experienced an upsurge in purchaser enquiries, which was “very welcome”.

To date, 26 of 66 settlements have occurred at Port Bouvard, with a further three presale contracts set to settle before the end of the year.

The company launched a fire sale campaign for Oceanique in November, where it offered discounts up to 40 per cent off the original asking prices.

At close of trade today Port Bouvard’s stock was up nearly 2 per cent, to trade at 5.2 cents.
