Former mining publicist Jan Hope has resigned as chairman of Ampella Mining along with executive director Richard Burden.
Ampella said Ms Hope’s resignation was effective immediately while Mr Burden will step down at a general meeting in November.
The meeting was requisitioned by major shareholders John Cranston and Peter Williams who proposed that Bill Ryan and Charles Soh be appointed to the board.
Mr Cranston and Mr Williams together hold a 17.7 per cent in Ampella.
In a statement today, Ampella said both Mr Ryan and Mr Soh have been appointed to the board immediately with Mr Ryan taking assuming the role of chairman.
