PERTH-BASED Alinta Ltd launched a $500 million bid to secure the remaining 80 per cent stake in Alinta Infrastructure Holdings. Alinta’s offer of $2.06 cash per party paid share to take the stake follows the energy utility’s recent acquisition of a 20 per cent stake in AIH, the result of its $6.8 billion merger with The Australian Gas Light Company Ltd.
