Agribusiness excellence awards launched

AGRIBUSINESSES are invited to nominate for the Rabobank Agribusiness Awards for Excellence.

The awards, run in conjunction with Monash University, recognise excellence, innovation and leadership within Australian agribusiness.

The premier award is the Agribusiness Leader of the Year Award, which was won last year by Visy Industries chairman Richard Pratt. Past winners include Nufarm managing director Doug Rathbone and Australian Wool Service chairman Trevor Flugge.

Other categories are the Export Award, Agribusiness Value Adding Award, Technology and Innovation Award, Environmental and Energy Management Award, Rural Enterprise Award, Supply Chain Management Award and Risk Management Award.

Nominations close on August 31 and winners will be announced in Melbourne on October 28.
