PERTH technology company PIVoD Group believes it will be able to resolve a dispute with the Australian Taxation Office before the matter reaches a scheduled Federal Court hearing next week. The tax office advertised this week that it was launching winding-up proceedings against PIVoD Technologies Pty Ltd, which has been the group’s main trading name.WA Business News understands that the dispute with the ATO flowed from a planned $2 million capital raising earlier this year, which was not completed as expected. PIVoD Group has since launched another capital raising to both fund the tax debt and support the planned international expansion of the business, which develops innovative video on demand services. It is believed that directors and current investors in the business have the capacity to deal with the tax debt if the current capital raising cannot be completed in time.
