ASG wins Vic govt agency contract

Wednesday, 9 October, 2013 - 14:32

IT services provider ASG Group has won an $11.5 million contract with a government agency in Victoria, taking its total works won since the end of June to $97 million.

ASG said today it had been awarded a three-year contract by Victoria's Department of Environment and Primary Industries to modernise the department's enterprise resource planning platform.

Under the deal, which includes the option of a further two-year extension, the department will transition to a consumption-based 'new world' model deployed on ASG's cloud data centre.

ASG has been awarded a raft of contracts in recent months, with new clients including Clough, Main Roads WA and the Department of Education and Department of Housing in Western Australia.

"This record period of new contract signings has been underpinned by the strategic acquisitions we have successfully integrated into our business over the years, as well as the substantial investment we have made in building a New World capability," ASG managing director Geoff Lewis said.

"As a result, ASG is positioned to provide a full service enterprise transformation capability, which will continue to drive long-term organic growth."

ASG shares closed the day's trade 1.2 per cent higher at 40.5 cents.
