AICC Business Luncheon: Migrant Entrepreneurs

As a part of its Curtin Zernike Innovation Series, the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce is holding its first business luncheon for the series, May 16 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. This event, titled ‘Migrant Entrepreneurs…is it Australia, or is it the individual that creates entrepreneurial success…or is it something else?’, features some of WA’s most creative business innovators who originated from overseas and have succeeded in Western Australia. They include: • Max Kay AM CitWA (Britain)– councillor for the City of Perth and winner of the 2001 Citizen of the Year Award in the Arts, Culture and Entertainment category; • Patria Jeffries (America) – brand strategist - instrumental in the development of the Matilda Bay Breweries brand (including Pilsner, Dogbolter and Redback) and co-founder of Dome Coffee Australia Pty Ltd; • Professor Linda Kristjanson (Canada) – recently appointed pro vice-chancellor research and development at Curtin University; and • Wilson Wu (Asia) - president of the WA Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
