AUSTRALIAN Competitive Energy (ACE) will soon launch what could prove to be the most powerful, on-line business-to-business tool the oil, gas and downstream processing industry has experienced.
Three months ago ACE contracted a Western Australian web development company Pretzel Logic, to discuss an initiative that would bring the major hydrocarbon and downstream processing players closer together with Australia’s industry suppliers.
This resulted in the formation of the new ACE Supplybase Vendor Registration System.
The new Supplybase VRS system is an effective on-line communication platform, a one-stop-shop that will allow suppliers to load and exhibit detailed information about the services/products they offer on the internet.
ACE technical director Graham Collins said leading players in the oil and gas industry had initiated the project and monitored its development by Pretzel Logic.
“The level of efficiency the system provides will really boost Australia’s competitiveness in the regional and global industry,” he said..
“Contractors and suppliers will be able to put their services and products on display in a way that streamlines buyer access.”
