Located in WA’s South-West, the hotel is set to formally open its doors to the public on 29 December 2023. With unrivalled views across Geographe Bay and the iconic Busselton Jetty, the Hilton Garden Inn’s architecture pays homage to some of Busselton’s iconic landmarks. Guests will enjoy uninterrupted ocean views and access to modern amenities onsite, including an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, and conference rooms.

Collab Capital’s due diligence to identify an operator for the hotel attracted significant interest from international brands. Hilton was selected and are expected to add significant value to the offering and guest experience. According to Collab Capital’s Finance and Commercial Director, Ashley Kerfoot, there were numerous challenges through the capital raising and construction phase of the project.

“From negotiating the Development Lease with the City of Busselton in early 2018 and securing the land for the development, the collaborative approach of all stakeholders has been instrumental in bringing this project to life and seeing it through to completion. Although there were some hurdles to overcome, the City of Busselton is to be commended for its approach and we congratulate Hilton as they take on management on behalf of the owners” said Ashley.

Collab Capital and the City of Busselton shared a cohesive vision for the development from the outset, with a commitment to enhancing community vitality and economic growth in Busselton. The project is set to yield employment opportunities, boost tourism, and enhance the cultural and economic fabric of the region.

Ashley also added “Our collaboration with the City of Busselton underscores our commitment to elevating the hospitality offerings in the South-West region. Both Collab Capital and the City recognise the transformative impacts of the development, as it not only brings luxury accommodation to the area but a myriad of economic and cultural benefits. The landmark is set to attract interest from a broad range of travellers supported by direct flights from Melbourne and eventually Sydney.”

This milestone marks Collab Capital’s second development project with Hilton appointed as the operator and is the first to reach completion. Collab Capital are currently focussed on developments in the hospitality sector, targeting opportunities across regional Australia aiming to invest in communities and build assets that drive economic growth.
