Kuppa2 in Claremont has become one of Perth’s favourite dining spots and its contemporary food, wine and style have its roots in Tom Lapping’s Kuppa restaurant, located in Bangkok.
Mr Lapping started the Bangkok outlet as a gourmet coffee shop using two years of coffee research as a catalyst. The business became extremely popular and, within a short period of time, expanded to include the sale of good food.
Mr Lapping later opened the Perth outlet and is currently a director of both restaurants. He also sells coffee wholesale to several hotels in Thailand and employs 80 staff.
