Craft brewer Little Creatures is developing a site next door to its Fremantle hospitality venue, which will become its new home.

Instead of renewing its lease at its current site, the brewer is moving to 42 Mews Street.

Little Creatures is owned by Lion, after it was acquired by the global beverage company in 2012.

The project proposal includes a brewery, a large dining area dubbed the ‘Great Hall’, and a rooftop terrace.

Little Creatures head of hospitality Mark Pearn said the investment underscored the company’s belief in the brand.

Little Creatures Fremantle is already a ‘must visit’ tourist attraction, with up to a million visitors a year,” he said.

“This investment will deliver a truly memorable experience for locals and tourists alike, showcasing the very best of Australian craft brewing, WA hospitality and natural beauty.

“We’re hoping to showcase all of this with new areas, like the addition of a rooftop venue to the site.”

Little Creatures is the second largest beer producer in WA, according to Business News's Data & Insights, following ASX-listed Good Drinks Australia, which brews Gage Roads Brewing Co beer.

Gage Roads Brewing Co is also in the process of developing its own hospitality venue in Fremantle at A Shed in Victoria Quay, which is set to open in summer 2022.
