The Awards

Established in 2002 by Business News, the 40under40 Awards programme is designed to recognise and celebrate Western Australia's 40 leading business entrepreneurs under the age of 40.

The programme recognises not only personal determination and commercial drive, but also the philanthropic pursuits that balance these young individuals' professional achievements, recognising the less public contributions to the welfare of Western Australia. Each year, one exceptional business talent is selected from the 40 winners as the First Amongst Equals and becomes an ambassador for the programme that year.

Overview

Now in its fourteenth year, the 40under40 Awards has an alumnus of over 500 business achievers.

Each year the awards programme continues to find 40 outstanding young business men and women worthy of the opportunity to be awarded. The standard of entrants continues to grow, thanks to the support of sponsors and business partners. It is their commitment in recognising and supporting the future leaders of Western Australia that unearths great business talent.

This programme recognises not only personal determination and commercial drive, but also the philanthropic pursuits that balance these young individuals' professional achievements. The 2015 40under40 Awards are open to Western Australian business owners and executives who are under the age of 40, as at 31 December 2014.

Who will be the winners in 2015? That's up to you. Who do you know, under the age of 40, who deserves recognition for entrepreneurial achievements? You are encouraged to nominate them; they could be a team member, partner, client, potential client or supplier. And by nominating a candidate, you will be developing one of Western Australia's emerging leaders.
