As he enters his ninth year in office, and with a State election looming in 12 months' time, expect the Premier to lay out a vision for the State's future and his government's role in it.
Deidre Willmott has been Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Western Australia (CCI) since March 2014. Prior to this, she held a number of senior roles in industry and government, including Chief of Staff to two Western Australian Premiers Richard Court and Colin Barnett, General Manager of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Organising Committee and Director of External Relations at Fortescue Metals Group. She was also Director of Policy at CCI where she campaigned for reforms in areas including retail trading hours and liquor licensing laws.
