Success and Leadership Breakfast
The path of resilience
This panel event brings together three Western Australians who have been touched by adversity. In remembrance of the 20th anniversary of the Bali bombings, it explores the theme of resilience and leadership.
David Fyfe came close to losing his life in the Bali bombings and still carries major physical scars. That has not held him back; quite the contrary. It has taught him lessons he has applied in a successful business career, culminating in his recent appointment as chief executive of Synergy.
Burns surgeon Fiona Wood came to national prominence after treating many of the Bali bombing survivors. Her career has also included co-inventing the ‘spray-on skin’ treatment Recell, which is used around the world. She was named Australian of the Year in 2005.
Julian Pace has overcome extraordinary challenges in his life and is dedicated to using his own story to inspire others. As the chief executive and founder of Happiness Co, the 40under40 award winner runs a successful business and is a prominent public speaker on emotional wellbeing and mental health.
At a time when all employers need to focus on the wellbeing of their staff, join these successful Western Australians to discover how they have overcome challenges and setbacks in their lives and careers.
