Hon. Wayne Martin AC QC
Rule of law
Few people in Western Australia are as familiar with the state’s legal system as Wayne Martin. Having served as the state Supreme Court’s chief justice between 2006 and 2018, Wayne oversaw the rapid modernisation of the judicial system and advocated for bold and wide-ranging reforms during his tenure.
Still active as an arbitrator and current chair of the WA Football Commission, Parkerville Children and Youth Care, Perkins Institute for Medical Research and ASX-listed business DUG Technology, he remains an influential figure in WA.
Join the former chief justice for breakfast as he discusses his journey from law clerk to the state’s top judge, his thoughts on the rule of law and his recent move from the bench to the boardroom.
