After growing up in rural Victoria, Peter’s career with Esso Australia and ExxonMobil took him around the world. Since joining Woodside two years ago, he has shifted its focus toward international growth opportunities while still pursuing projects in Western Australia. We will also talk to Peter about his activities outside work, including with the WA Football Commission, the University of Western Australia and the Australia Japan Business Co-operation Council.
About Peter Coleman
Peter holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Monash University and an MBA from Deakin University.
He has more than 27 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically with the ExxonMobil group, with his career culminating in his appointment as Vice President Development Company. This role included the responsibility for leading development and project work in the Asia Pacific Region.
In 2012, Peter was appointed Adjunct Professor in Corporate Strategy by the University of Western Australia. He became Chief Executive Office and Managing Director of Woodside in May 2011.
