Stephen Langsford is Founder and CEO of ASX-listed Quickflix, Australia’s first subscription streaming service, which earlier this year was confronted by corporate challenges and a hyper competitive marketplace that includes Netflix, Stan and Presto. Over one million customers in Australia and NZ used Quickflix, generating over $100 million in revenue since its commencement.

About the Presenter:

Over the past 20 years Stephen has founded a number of successful businesses in high growth sectors including information technology, new media and entertainment. He started his career with an international accounting firm before moving into investment funds management.

In 1998 Stephen founded Method + Madness, a pioneering internet and web development group which was later acquired by ASX listed Sausage Software (later renamed SMS Management & Technology ASX: SMX). Stephen was a member of the Executive Committee of SMS Management & Technology until 2002.

In 2002 Stephen founded Change Corporation a consulting, information technology and venturing group of which he was Executive Chairman until it was acquired by ASX listed CSG Limited (ASX: CSV) in December 2007. In 2004 Stephen founded Quickflix and listed the company in 2005.

Stephen is also on the board of ScreenWest, the Western Australian Government film and TV funding agency.

Many who have worked with Stephen have gone to create their own successful tech businesses.
