Yvonne is the Executive Director, Community Services at the City of Armadale and leads a large and diverse team responsible for delivering a range of community services and planning for a community that is growing and transforming at an exponential rate.
In 2011 Yvonne was appointed the Bushfire Recovery Co-ordinator for the Roleystone Kelmscott Bushfires where over 4000 people were evacuated and 65 families lost their homes. Yvonne coordinated a response which included collaboration amongst numerous agencies.
Yvonne will talk about her own life experiences in parallel to her work with the City of Armadale, and how she has found the answer to the question “Why Armadale?”
