Women In Leadership Breakfast with Mary Hackett, Regional Director, GE Oil and Gas - Leading Through Disruptive Times
21 July 2016
Parmelia Hilton Perth
14 Mill Street
For many people in many companies across many industries, the work environment is being disrupted. The rapid introduction of new technologies and ideas is unsettling for many people, who now need to cope with working in an environment of uncertainty and change. Now more than ever people are looking to their Leaders for guidance and support.
Mary Hackett, GE Senior Executive and Regional Director for GE's Oil & Gas operations in ANZ/PNG knows about change - with GE leading the industrial internet revolution that is redefining the way many industries work today.
Mary will discuss the challenges of a changing work environment and share her thoughts on how to build a culture where change is embraced, rather than feared.
Mary Hackett is a Senior Executive within General Electric (GE). She holds the positions of Regional Director for GE's Oil & Gas business in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea; and Operations Leader for GE's Oil & Gas business across Asia Pacific.
Mary leads the ANZ & PNG Oil & Gas team in serving customers' needs; and is responsible for growth and co-creation strategies in the region. In addition, Mary is charged with driving business efficiency across Asia Pacific through the development and implementation of operational strategies, which incorporate Sourcing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Quality, Regional Services Efficiencies and EHS.
Mary joined GE Oil & Gas in November 2014 from Woodside, where she was Senior Vice President for the Australian Oil Business Unit. In her 17 years with Woodside, she has held a number of senior leadership roles, including Project Manager Pluto Expansion, Engineering Services Manager and Facilities Engineering Manager.
Prior to Woodside, she worked for 10 years in managerial and engineering roles in Brown & Root Engineering in Australia and Waterloo Air Technology in the UK.
GE Oil & Gas employs nearly 600 people in five major locations (Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney) to deliver the equipment, technology and expertise that is needed across the region's oil and gas sector.
