Our City is Your Business

The restoration of State Buildings is a collaboration of public and private interest with one consistent vision – to return a set of beautiful buildings back to the community.

The new precinct represents a vibrant change to the centre of our city: a centre for culture, art, community and style, with an easy flow of footfall, anchored not just by the State Buildings, but a modern new library for the City of Perth, which contrasts dramatically with St George’s Cathedral’s late 19th century architecture.

St George’s Cathedral now has its eastern side opened up for the first time in decades, creating an open-air plaza between the Cathedral, the State Buildings and the Library. Every element of the precinct has been designed to work with the others, whist still allowing each building’s attributes to be felt by city-siders who hold the history of this neighbourhood in high regard.

Find out more about Perth’s newly revitalised historic heart; how the dynamic hub of hand-picked retail and dining offerings, and a boutique luxurious hotel affect local businesses and tourism.

As part of our Women in Leadership series, Anneke Brown the General Manager of COMO The Treasury will be presenting at this event. Prior to joining COMO The Treasury Anneke worked for Amanresorts, opening resorts around the world, including Cambodia, India, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the Caribbean. Closer to home Anneke managed the Australian luxury icon Longitude 131 in Uluru. Anneke was brought in to manage the project in April 2014 and is looking forward to delivering an international standard hotel into the Perth market.

COMO The Treasury is a 48 room contemporary luxury hotel located in the heart of Cathedral Square. The precinct project and the development of State Buildings into COMO The Treasury is testament to how a revitalisation of historic architecture can contribute to the economical communities of the future.

We look forward to welcoming you to this event, the next in AmCham’s prestigious Women in Leadership series.
