WACOSS Conference: Making Place
The Western Australian Council of Social Service (WACOSS) is pleased to announce the upcoming biennial conference, with the theme Making Place.
Making Place is about empowering communities to collectively determine how they want to live their lives, and providing them the tools to break down barriers that create isolation and disadvantage, to foster social networks, connect people to community, and dismantle the systems that stand in their way.
Keynote speakers will talk about how to enable communities to drive change, initiatives that build neighbourhoods, and they will showcase campaigns and programs that strengthen the social fabric of our society. Speakers and panel members bring a range of experience, from the community services sector and beyond, including many with lived experience.
