Urban Innovations: Disrupting Suburbia
The Planning Institute of Australia WA 2016 Conference will look at how urban innovations contribute to create not only efficient, technology driven future cities, but also liveable, human centred and design driven cities.
The future of cities cannot be one of unsustainable expansion, it must be one of tireless innovation. It is imperative we imagine forthcoming changes that will impact the future of cities in ways that might currently be considered unimaginable.
This conference will focus on the changes required to deal with the transition away from the suburban culture of Perth, examine the implication of disruptive technologies and their policy impacts and explore the community and psychological changes with Perth emerging from pubescence.
Keynote Speakers include: Timothy Papandreou, Director of Innovation - San Francisco Transportation Agency; Dr Elizabeth Farrelly, Sydney Morning Herald Columnist and Jonathan Daly, Studio HUSS.
