The Leeuwin Estate Concert 2015

The Leeuwin Concert will return to its classical origins in 2015, presenting superstar Welsh bass-baritone, Bryn Terfel CBE and soprano Rachelle Durkin, with the Perth Symphony Orchestra. It promises to be a stunning alfresco vineyard performance featuring the classics of popular opera and stage musicals. The Concert will incorporate the Leeuwin Marquee event and the traditional post performance arena party.

Bryn Terfel’s remarkable voice and characteristic stage presence have made him one of music’s hottest properties and earned him outstanding international acclaim. Described as “a voice of the century”, his ability to captivate and move his audience has left opera and concert promoters around the world clamouring to sign him. He has performed in all the great opera houses of the world and is acclaimed for his versatility as a concert performer, with highlights ranging from the opening ceremony of the Wales Millennium Centre, BBC Last Night of the Proms, and the Royal Variety Show to a gala concert with Andrea Bocelli in Central Park, New York. In 2003, Bryn was made a CBE for services to Opera in the Queen’s New Year Honours list and in 2006 was awarded the Queen’s Medal for Music.
