WA COP are proud to host a very interesing CPD opportunity presented by experienced organisational psychologist, Ralph Monley.

Ralph will present on the topic of how moral and ethical psychology is applied within organisations. Moral Psychology investigates human functioning in moral contexts, and asks how these results may impact debate in ethical theory.

In this presentation, Ralph will present an interactive session on ethical and moral psychology, addressing some fundamental questions, while summarising recent writing and research findings. He will integrate this with practical and professional dimensions together with reflections from his career experience in organisational psychology.

The session will conclude with a Q & A opportunity and include a networking opportunity with drinks and canapés.

Learning outcomes

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will have gained:
An understanding of what psychology is discovering about moral decision making
Knowledge of practical applications of moral constructs such as integrity in leadership capability models
Knowledge of indications of moral behaviour based on a range of personality questionnaires used in organisational settings

About the presenter(s)

Ralph Monley is an independent organisational psychologist, with over 30 years’ experience, primarily consulting to government and the private sector, but also spanning periods as an RAAF psychologist and as an HR Manager in a computer company. He has had a lengthy association with SHL (now CEB) and Chandler Macleod, as well as operating as Principal of his own company, Miraquin Psychological Services. Ralph was also active on the COPWA committee for a period of 7 years up to 2013.
