South West Petanque Championships

It’s on again! The South West Petanque Championships are on the weekend of the 12th and 13th of November 2016 at Whicher Ridge Wines. It is a Triples Competition with over $1000 in Cash & Prizes

Individuals can also enter and we will be able to place you in a team for the competition.

You don’t need to be a petanque superstar player to enter either, so why not come along have some fun and learn about this game which has it’s origins in a small town near Marseilles in the Provence region in the South West of France.

Pétanque is one of only a few truly inclusive outdoor games, allowing people of all ages and all degrees of mobility to play together in a game that can be a simple recreation, or an international World Cup standard event. It also just happens to be one of the fastest growing participant sports in the world. If Paris is successful in it's bid to host the 2024 Olympics, then Petanque will become an olympic sport!
