LESANZ and RIG invite you to a late afternoon panel discussion about the special challenges in promoting and selling innovation to the resources industry.

Speakers:

Adrian Boeing is the Business Development Manager for the Control and Automation Division of Transmin - award winning innovators in remote operation and automation of heavy duty hydraulic mining and materials handling equipment. Adrian will use a case study for Transmin's Rocklogic rock breaker automation product to discuss how an innovative and cutting-edge product can be introduced into a conservative mining industry and the key factors determining the successful introduction of such a product.

Martin Collard is a Business Adviser at Enterprise Connect, an Australian Government initiative backed by industry that offers comprehensive advice and support to eligible Australian businesses to help them transform and reach their full potential. The main focus of Martin’s presentation will be around experiences with businesses which have made the transition into the resources space including discussion around the ‘Resources Industry Supply Chain Index’ (RISCI) tool which offers businesses a facilitated diagnostic to help identify what they need to improve to be taken seriously in the resources industry.

Peter Mellor is the Manager of Ports, Marine Terminals and Marine Sciences within the WorleyParsons Perth office. Peter will discuss his experiences in delivering innovation to clients in the resources industry including how to successfully implement and sell new technologies. He will draw on his experience with the WorleyParsons’ Complete Diverless Solutions which have transformed environmental marine monitoring used in the resources industry.

The panel discussion will be facilitated by Tim Jones of Intium Solutions, winner of the 2011 WA Innovator of the Year Award. Tim is also the recently appointed National President of LESANZ.
