The Australian Property Institute WA Division and Finsia have assembled expert presenters and panelists to address the impact of SMSF's on the residential property market in Western Australia.

KEYNOTE ADDRESS:
Graeme Colley - Director Technical & Professional Standards, SMSF Professionals' Associations of Australia Ltd (SPAA)
Presenting on: Real estate wealth creation for self managed super funds

Graeme Colley is responsible for the technical, advocacy and compliance role of SPAA. The role assists members in providing advice on
all aspects of SMSF.Graeme has over 30 years’ experience in the industry and had been involved in many of the changes that have taken
place to the government’s superannuation policy during that time including formulating policy, developing legislation and high level
technical advice. His most recent role was as the National Technical Manager for OnePath Australia which involved providing technical
advice. Prior to that, he was responsible for the co-ordination of litigation within the ATO. Graeme has co-authored a number of
publications on superannuation. He lectures at the University of Western Sydney in the Masters of Commerce and at the University of
NSW as an adjunct lecturer. Graeme is recognised as a leader in the SMSF and Superannuation environment in Australia.

 

David Airey - President, Real Estate Institute of Western Australia
Presenting on: Western Australia's property market update

David was first elected as REIWA President in Oct 2011. He was subsequently re-elected REIWA President for a 2nd 2 year term at the
Oct 2013 Council meeting. David has served on REIWA Council since 2003 and had been Deputy President since 2006. He was elected
President of the Real Estate Institute of Aust from 2009 to 2011 and continues as a Director of REIA. David is a licensed Real Estate &
Business agent and Auctioneer and is well known through his family owned real estate agency based in Claremont.

Monica Rule - SMSF Specialist Advisor

Passionate about financial independence and committed to
teaching Australians about SMSF's, Monica Rule created Monica Rule –
Your Self Managed Super Expert in 2013 after a long career with the
ATO. Monica published The Self Managed Super Handbook with the
ATO’s permission in 2010 and later in 2012 became a regular contributor
to the finance pages of The West Australian and The Australian.

 

Paul Blackburne - Managing Director, Blackburne Property Group

Paul took over the Blackburne name which has been a consistent and
dynamic leader in the property services industry since 1967. Since 2004
The Blackburne Property Group, under Paul’s guidance, built on the fine
traditions of service and innovation, and the group has expanded
considerably.

Michael has 40 years experience in the WA development industry and senior management experience for both private and listed development companies.
Michael is a Life Member & Past President of the Urban Development Institute of Aust, Member of the Planning Institute of Aust & a Fellow of the API. In
the 2nd half of last year, seeking the rewards of a quieter life, Michael founded Michael Glendinning Property to offer his experience and capabilities to the
wider development industry whilst working on his long neglected golf handicap and his love of a Long Macchiato!
