PRESENTATION DETAILS
Presentation 1: A regional groundwater assessment to provide effective management of water resources of the North Pilbara

The West Canning Basin is the largest artesian basin in Western Australia and contains groundwater resources that have potential to support growth in agriculture, mining and regional town. Our Sandfire groundwater investigation, located 150 km north of Port Hedland aims to understand how increased use of groundwater from the Wallal aquifer might impact artesian pressure and environments that depend on groundwater to survive.

This presentation provides an overview of the project and will describe how we are incorporating hydrogeology, geophysics, hydrochemistry, age dating and groundwater modelling to help develop sustainable management strategies for long term water security and development.
Presentation 2: Water Corporation's Smart Meter Experience
Water Corporation has been experimenting with “Intelligent Networks” as a way to optimise network services and improve effectiveness for demand management. This presentation discusses some of the initiatives that the Water Corporation has undertaken with Smart Meters, innovative customer engagement, and data analytics to achieve results.
