Why gender diversity?

There are many different aspects to this complicated topic.

Other than reading media articles about a recent report highlighting different problems, or sharing opinion pieces and statistics on social media, there is little opportunity for millennials to directly engage with a broad range of business leaders to openly discuss such an important issue.

This is exactly why PerthYP has teamed up with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Our aim in providing this event is to gather a quality panel of people who are tasked with implementing real world solutions in different businesses across different industries so that our members have the chance to talk about the issues in greater depth than a twitter post will allow. Hashtags are great at raising awareness, but it’s time we started talking about this more seriously amongst millennials.

Here is your chance to ask questions about the bigger picture, to seek advice on how to unpack our own subconscious views on gender roles, to find out what you can do in your workplace, or to just listen to your peers as they connect with the our panellists as we all work towards changing workplace 'norms'.
