Perth in Focus - Beyond the Boom - How is Perth faring?
What does the economic situation of Western Australian households look like after the mining boom? Which industries are thriving? Which are in decline? How flexible is our workforce to respond to those changes? And what are the emerging economic threats and opportunities for the future?
As part of its latest two-year research project, Bigger and Better Beyond the Boom, the Committee for Perth commissioned Ipsos to survey 2000 Western Australians to explore how they’re thinking about work and life after the boom.
At the next Perth in Focus luncheon, Ipsos Australia's Perth General Manager, Shaun Griffin will share the key findings of the survey. The content will cover the rise and fall of industries, changing generational attitudes to work, where productivity is being lost, and how households feel they are faring beyond the boom.
After the keynote address, there will be a Q&A panel session of local experts who will reflect on the survey findings and discuss how their sectors are placed for the future.
