Western Australia has the largest pay disparity in Australia, with women working full-time for WA-based employers - earning on average 30.9% less than men. The Pay Equity Leadership Forum jointly presented by Edith Cowan University (ECU) and the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) aims to raise key gender equality issues and spread awareness of effective business practices in gender pay disparity.

Panel members will be Director of WGEA, Libby Lyons. Libby will be joined by WGEA Pay Equity Ambassador Andrew Smith, Shell Australia’s Country Chair and Vice-President of the company’s upstream businesses in Australia & New Zealand; and ECU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Steve Chapman. In 2016, WGEA recognised ECU as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality in 2016. Professor Chapman is also a Pay Equity Ambassador for WGEA.

Join panel members to discuss how businesses can close the pay equity gap. After the panel discussion, panel members will answer questions from the audience.
