PEET Big Lunch For Vulnerable Kids

Anglicare WA is hosting the Peet Big Lunch for Kids on Friday 11th November 2016 at Crown Perth and will feature former Australian Test fast bowler Rodney Hogg, best known as “Hoggie”, sensational comic sopranos DivaLicious, and sports personality Caty Price.
The Peet Big Lunch for Kids will raise much-needed funds for Anglicare WA’s work to transform the lives of vulnerable children in WA - innocent victims caught up in acrimonious parental separation, domestic violence and sexual abuse.
The all-inclusive luncheon at Crown Perth will be MC’d by sporting personality Caty Price who is sure to bring out some of Hoggie’s best stories to entertain the crowd.
The genuinely quick bowler destroyed the English batting line-up on his entrance to Test cricket and picked up an amazing 41 wickets in the Ashes series of 1978/79 – a record that is near impossible to beat these days.
The entertainment will continue with DivaLicious performing their Hollywood show.
As seen on ‘Australia’s Got Talent’ and returning from their second successful season at Sydney Opera House, sopranos Penny Shaw and Fiona Cooper Smyth charm crowds with a unique combination of fast moving comedy and virtuosic singing.
Plenty of prizes will also be auctioned and raffled including a Kia Cerato; a Sir Donald Bradman signed cricked bat; and a seven night stay in a luxury three bedroom holiday villa in Bali, with all proceeds raised going towards the worthy work of Anglicare WA.
More than 32,000 individuals are helped by Anglicare WA every year in almost 50 locations across WA, enhancing their abilities to cope with the challenges of life: relationship issues; financial problems; and housing difficulties.
Extraordinarily, every week, Anglicare WA helps an average of 25 people experiencing domestic violence, 50 people in housing stress, 150 people in financial stress and 270 people with relationships problems. Ultimately, Anglicare WA helps support people from before birth to death and every stage in between throughout life’s journey.
