Israel Trade Commission Water Management Breakfast
09 May 2013
Rio Tinto Iron Ore, Conference Centre
The Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce (WA) and Israel Trade Commission are delighted to invite you, your colleagues and key clients to a Water Management Breakfast.
Mr Allan Jackson, Rio Tinto General Manager Climate Change, Water & Environment, is proud to host the Israel Trade Commissioner Ms Ethy Levy and five leading Israeli water companies Amiad, IDE Technologies, Netafim, Nirosoft and Whitewater visiting Perth. Each company will be briefly presenting their innovative capabilities on water management and related successes and opportunities in their fields.
The WA resources industry is a major user of water and is in constant search of better water technologies to suit the special needs of this sector. Israel has been confronted with extremely limited natural resources due to its location and terrain and has had to develop innovative water technologies and waste water treatment techniques, to the point where it is known globally as “the Silicon Valley of water”. Further, it is becoming a world leader in the field of clean tech. Currently Israel recycles over 70% of all water used. The progress of major gas and mining projects in Western Australia provides a potential match for Israeli innovators in water and clean technologies for our WA mining, agricultural and energy sectors.
With Israel being one of the world leaders in clean tech and water technology, there is a clear synergy between these sectors and vast opportunities for collaboration between the two States of Western Australia and Israel. To facilitate this great opportunity, the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce(WA) and Israel Trade Commission, in conjunction with Rio Tinto Iron Ore, will be hosting this special breakfast with a delegation of top visiting Israeli water companies.
