Indigenous Inclusion - Taking a Different Approach
EVENT OVERVIEW
According to Indigenous champions such as Noel Pearson and Desert Knowledge Australia, an "us" and "them" mentality exists in the collective Indigenous psyche due to the growing disconnect between urban and regional Australia. Indigenous people feel that important decisions which impact them directly are being made by "city dwellers" who have little understanding of Indigenous culture.
How can we close the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians? How can governments and other influencing bodies improve the system to advance Indigenous outcomes?
Join CEDA invites for this sundowner with Indigenous thought-leaders, the Hon. Fred Chaney AO and Associate Professor Simon Forest.
