International Series

Overview

Join CEDA as our panel of expert Indian commentators share their local knowledge and insights into the flourishing business potential of emerging global giant, India.

With the Indian economy estimated to grow 6.75 per cent annually from 2012 to 2025, and with predictions it will become the world's most populous nation by 2030, the importance of India to Australia has been emphasised in the Federal Government's Asian Century White Paper.

In the past five years, the value of Australia's exports to India has risen by an annual average of 24 per cent, and Indian investment in Australia, particularly in the resources sector, has also grown rapidly.

To further solidify the flourishing relationship and allow greater market access to Indian exporters, a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) is now being negotiated between the two countries.

What does India's expansion mean for Australia? How can local companies capitalise on trade and investment opportunities that exist in one of the world's fastest growing economies?

Learn about the inner workings of this unique market at this insightful CEDA event.
